Charles River Center
Integrating Digital and Print Communications for a Human Services Organization

Project Overview

Charles River Center provides support and services for children and adults with developmental disabilities throughout the Greater Boston area. Atomik Design Studio partnered with the organization to redesign its website and create a suite of communications materials that better reflect its mission, services, and community impact.

The Challenge

Charles River Center serves multiple audiences, including families, donors, community partners, and service recipients. The organization needed a more cohesive communications system that could clearly explain its programs, strengthen storytelling, and create consistency across digital and print channels.

Strategic Approach

Rather than treating each deliverable as a standalone project, the work was approached as an integrated communications initiative. A redesigned website provided a modern, accessible foundation for sharing information and engaging stakeholders, while supporting materials were developed to reinforce a consistent visual and messaging strategy across fundraising, outreach, and annual communications.

Key Deliverables

  • Website redesign
  • Annual report
  • Annual appeal campaign
  • Four-fold brochure
  • Two-page informational flyer

Results

The resulting communications system helps Charles River Center present a more unified and professional presence while improving how it communicates services, impact, and organizational goals. By aligning digital and print communications, the organization is better equipped to engage families, donors, and community partners.
